Easter

Easter and Rebirth

The true beauty of Easter can be appreciated only by those who understand its real meaning, those who know Jesus as the Son of God, Who was born of a Virgin, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day.  Easter is the time of joy and gladness.   It is the time for new birth - new birth of all nature.  Faith, hope, and new life are given man, birds, animals, and flowers.  The song of birds - the sweetest of all music - is heard, the animals emerge from winter nests to romp in nature's playground, flowers burst forth in wondrous glory, a rainbow of colors, and man sees the signs of new life which prove his faith and hope, a hope of life everlasting.
Just as sure as nature is reborn to a new life after a dormant season, man can come from death into life.  Make this a special Easter by giving your life to Jesus and enjoy the new birth He made possible by coming from the grave.

April, the month of rebirth. Miracles are performed before our eyes as tiny seeds burst into colorful flowers, baby birds break from carefully laid eggs, green grass brightens the dull earth.  But - the greatest miracle of all -The Resurrection of Our Lord proving that life is eternal! Easter, the day we celebrate that resurrection, brings new hope and new life.

Welcome, April, we have waited for you all through the long winter.  We have had an abundance of snow and cold this winter so you are more welcome than ever. You will bring us thirty blessed days filled with sunshine and gentle showers which bring the beautiful yellow daffodils, the brilliantly colored tulips, the dew-covered violets and the green, green   grass. The trees, still bare of leaves, show signs of tender buds bursting to become a leaf or a flower. The colors in them give us a hint of what is to come.   Sweet smelling lilac bushes and golden forsythia dot the landscape.  Welcome, April, with all of your beauty.  We are ready for YOU!

It is true - "April showers bring May flowers  ."
Named for 'aprilis', a Latin word meaning 'to open', April is a fascinating month with promise.

"Can any month compare with April, the most joyous month on the Springtime season?"

"Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection not in books alone, but in every leaf of Springtime."
Martin Luther
