God's Greatest Gift
As Christmas Day comes each year,
Our thoughts are often taken
By gifts we give to those we love
While the Great Gift is forsaken.
This Christmas Day - may it be said,
That we placed our concentration
On God's Greatest Gift -
His Only Son.
D - ecember, the month of Christmas
cheer.
E - ach day draws us closer to the end of the year.
C - hrist was born on this Christmas Day.
E - mmauel - in a bed of hay.
M - erry are the wishes that we send.
B - ecause we love both family and friend.
E - laborate celebrations are planned
R - ememberng that birth in the Holy Land.
December brings the most glorious holiday of the year: the time we think of friends
and loved ones and remember each Christmas shared in the past. Oh, if this
spirit of
Christmas could last all year! Again, the tragedy of war dampens our spirit.
Many
loved ones will not be home this Christmas.
Thank God we are resilient and are able to
celebrate His Son's birth even when
storm clouds hang over our heads. As we search for that perfect gift for our loved
one,
our minds go to the Perfect Gift God provided for each of us. This year, let us
not be
caught up in all of the commercialism, remember the true meaning of Christmas.
C - hrist was born that first Christmas morn,
H -is mission in life we know.
R -oyalty left behind - He came to save mankind.
I -n a wicked world here below.
S-alvation He brought which lost men sought.
T -he Father's heart with love o'erflowed.
M -any me will come to accept His Son,
A - s the Perfect One defeats the foe.
S - inging angels on high His birth magnify
To Him our we allegiance owe.
May you have a Blessed Christmas!
