VALENTINE DAY

Our world is so busy - so filled with unpleasant
things - so uncertain. There are few things we
can count on today.  We find ourselves drawing
within ourselves and attempting to shut out the
world.  We look for excuses to neglect our loved
ones and friends.

The weather is cold and uncomfortable, adding
to our misery - but then comes February and
Valentine's Day, reminding us that there is
Love in the world.  It reminds us to halt for a
moment the hurry of everyday life and to give
love and affection to someone.  Everyone needs
love!  They may be close to us or they may be a lonesome soul who is a stranger to us.  Ask God
to lead you to someone and show them love this
Valentine Day.  You will both feel better for it.
Jesus showed us how to love everyone.

"If the love of Christ is kept in our hearts it will
sweeten all our life; and we shall become as loving
as He."

MY VALENTINE TO YOU!

On this day reserved for 'lovers',
I can express many kinds of love.
First, my love for GOD THE FATHER,
As He watches from Heaven above.
Second, my abundant love for FAMILY,
Which all human love transcends.
It will remain steadfast and true
'Til our earthly existence ends.
Next, my love for SPECIAL FRIENDS
And the precious moments we share.
My heart overflows with joy
When they show how much they care.
I have a love for ACQUAINTANCES
Who happen to pass my way.
A smile, a word, a wave of the hand
Can brighten a weary day.
Do find your place in my world of love,
And be assured that it is true,
When I pen these age-old words.
Which say, "I LOVE YOU!"
